Victory garden project

VICTORY GARDEN

During World War 2, a garden was a useful thing to have. Because of rationing, food was in short supply. Flowers grown for decoration were replaced by vegetables that could provide extra food for the family.

Your job is to design and then make a Victory Garden.  You will need a shoebox and any other materials you want to use.  In your garden you will need:

An Anderson Shelter

A Vegetable allotment – decide which vegetables you will grow

Some Fruit trees

A Compost Heap

A Greenhouse (optional)

A Chicken coop/rabbit hutches

Research your design and be ready to bring your materials to school during the week beginning 29th February.  Your teacher will let you know which day.
